Ad Concepts
Ad Concepts are where the creative work happens. Each concept is a workspace for one idea or campaign: you describe what you want, uplane helps bring it to life, and your finished ads collect together in one place.
Opening Ad Concepts
Click Ad Concepts in the sidebar. Your concepts are organized into folders, which appear nested under Ad Concepts. You can:
- Create a folder with the add (+) control to group related work (e.g. by campaign, season, or product).
- Rename or move folders and ads to keep things tidy.
Open a concept to see the ads inside it and to create new ones.
Refining your idea
Every concept starts with an idea. Inside a concept, the Refine Idea chat helps you shape it into a brief uplane can act on.
- Type your idea in plain language — for example, "A bright summer promo for our new running shoe, featuring the product on a city street." The assistant greets you with "What's your idea? I'm here to help bring it to life!"
- Choose the brand and product the ad is for, so uplane uses the right identity and imagery.
- Chat back and forth to refine direction, messaging, and look. You can interrupt and adjust at any time.
When you're happy with the direction, you move on to generating actual ads.
Creating ads
Inside a concept, open the actions menu (the ⋯ button in the top-right) to see every way to create an ad. The main options are:
| Option | What it creates |
|---|---|
| Create Manual | A blank image ad you design yourself from scratch in the editor. |
| Create Manual Video | A blank video ad you build from scratch. |
| Create Dynamic Ad | An ad generated from your brand and product inputs, ready to refine. |
| Create Google Ads display ad | A display ad sized for the Google Display Network. |
Newly created ads appear as cards in the concept. Click any ad to open it in the editor, where you can fine-tune the design and produce different formats.
Quick Edit
For image ads, you can make changes right from the card — no need to open the full editor. Hover over an image ad and click Quick Edit (the wand icon) to open a small composer at the bottom of the card.
- Describe the change in plain language — for example, "make the background a sunset" or "change the headline to '20% off this week'." Press Enter to apply (Shift+Enter adds a new line).
- Use your voice — press and hold the microphone button and speak your change instead of typing.
- Add reference images — attach up to 3 images with the + button to guide the result (for example, a product shot or a style you like).
- Choose the image model if you want a different look; the default works well for most edits.
Quick Edit creates a new version of the ad rather than overwriting the original. Use the history button (the clock icon) in the composer to review previous versions and restore any of them.
Organizing and reusing concepts
The actions menu also lets you move work between workspaces and bring work in:
- Copy to another workspace — copy this ads folder (and optionally a related landing-page folder) to a different workspace. Handy for reusing a proven concept across brands or regions.
- Import from JSON — paste an exported concept to add it as a new ads folder in this workspace.
